It is only when something has passed that we truely get the opportunity to reflect. It was only on Sunday that it was my son's Baptism and I witnessed him becoming part of the Catholic Church. It reminded me of our school community here at St. John's and how immensely proud of this community I am.

It, at it's very core, is a supportive, caring community, that looks out for each other. This was shown throughout the pandemic and the changes that we have had to implement this year.

I would firstly like to say a huge thank you to all the staff at St. John's during this academic year. Never have I been prouder of a group of individuals. No matter what the challenge has been, they have risen to it. I hope that you can join me in wishing them all a wonderful break and enjoyable summer.

Two of our current members of staff will be leaving us today.

Mrs. Pavlovic will be leaving us. She has been teaching in year Three since Easter and had a wonderful impact on all the children in her class. She will be missed.

Miss Norman will also be leaving us. She joined us in October and has been a pleasure to have here at St. John's. She has wowed us with her musical ability and Year 5 have enjoyed many a concert. She will be missed by all, both staff and pupils.

I hope you can join me in wishing them the best in their future endeavors.

We are also saying goodbye to our current Year Six. I wish them all the best in their journeys in education and know that everyone of them will live by our motto here at St. John's. Let the light of Christ shine in us.

I will update you all before the end of the Summer about any changes for September.

Thank you for everything you have done for your children this year and I look forward to seeing you in the Autumn Term.

I hope that you have the most wonderful Summer and that you take the time to rest and relax in this ever changing time,

God Bless,

Mr Timson
